RPW design has been appointed to completely refurbish five floors of guestrooms at one of Edinburgh’s landmark hotels, the Caledonian Hilton. The hotel, which originally opened in 1900, belongs to the proud tradition of grand railway hotels and now RPW is helping to reinstate its pre-eminence amongst Edinburgh’s hotels for this century. In total, RPW will be refurbishing 87 guestrooms, lift lobbies and guestroom corridors. The new interiors will combine the traditional and modern, with elements reflecting the hotel’s location and significance to Scotland. Work on site will begin early in 2008 for completion by the summer.
